Vanille Patisserie: Indulge in Exquisite Custom Cakes and Macarons

Vanille was so incredibly easy to work with for our wedding cupcakes! They were flexible with the design, coloring, and quantity, and they were delicious. Would highly recommend!

Craving something sweet with raspberries so I preordered the Almond Frangipane and it was perfect! Can’t wait to order again or stop by. Last pics are raspberries and powdered sugar added at home.

Our wedding cake from Vanille was absolutely beautiful and beyond delicious! We received so many compliments from our guests, and the raspberry layer was definitely a crowd favorite. From start to finish, the team was communicative, extremely kind, and so easy to work with. They brought our vision to life perfectly, and the cake looked just as stunning as it tasted and was also priced extremely fair in the world of wedding vendors. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and are so grateful to Vanille for being part of our special day. Highly recommend them to any couple looking for a cake that will truly wow your guests!

I was in Chicago for a wedding and had been dying to try this place. We got macaroons and breads to take home to the kids and had pastries right in the cute little shop. It was beautiful, the pastries were delicious. The macaroons however ---- they have ruined me! They are the best macaroons I've ever had, nothing compares now.

I stopped by Vanille Patisserie and it felt like a little slice of Paris tucked into Chicago. The display case alone is dangerous — rows of colorful macarons, glossy fruit tarts, and perfectly layered pastries that look almost too pretty to eat. I tried a croissant and a small cake, and both were beautifully balanced — buttery, delicate, and not overly sweet. You can taste the quality right away. The texture of the pastry was flaky and light, exactly what you’d hope for from a French-style bakery. The space itself is cozy and elegant, making it a great spot for a quiet coffee break or a casual catch-up with friends. Overall, Vanille Patisserie delivers refined desserts without feeling pretentious — just simple, high-quality sweets done right.

Tried 2 cakes (dubai chocolate & sophia that looks like giant ferrero rocher). Both are 5/5 - I like how they are not too sweet. Iced latte 4/5 - better standard that most coffee shops nearby the area Lemon ginger tea 4/5 Cleanliness 5/5 No wifi

I don’t have enough great words to say about Vanille and the entire staff! First of all, what I really look for is taste and every product has been amazing. Second, everyone is so kind from emails to in person purchases. We’ve been using Vanille for all of our most special events and then of course for a fun treat when we are in town! We most recently used them for a cake for our son’s baptism and it was perfect! I wanted the same flavor from our wedding with the chocolate chip cookie dough filling! The best!!

I got there late in the day, around 6pm, but they still had some good options. The chocolate chip cookie was rich and chocolatey and buttery but thankfully not overly sweet. The giant chocolate stud muffin was super sweet, as cupcakes tend to be. It had a rich ganache filling under all of that buttercream. It was cold out of the case and would have been so much better room temperature, but I don't have anywhere near the patience for that - would be ideal if sold that way, but I imagine keeping them cool prolongs shelf life. Service was excellent, as was the ambiance. Both indoor and outdoor seating.
